Mitel®, the trusted leader in IP communications, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Rogers Business Solutions Inc. under which it will supply the Mitel 3600 Hosted Key Systems as part of a converged IP voice and data offering from Rogers. The offering, to be launched this March, will provide voice, data and Internet connectivity on a single IP (Internet Protocol) network for small businesses.
“Our goal is to deliver a simple, affordable IP solution to small business in Canada that lets them combine their voice and data on a single, converged network,” says Randy Reynolds, President of Rogers Business Solutions. “This hosted system is easy to install, easy to manage and easy to upgrade, and with pricing based on the number of users rather than the amount of use, monthly costs are predictable.”
The Hosted Key System is a carrier-grade communications system that allows service providers to displace traditional key systems in small businesses (five to 50 employees) with a hosted service that is full-featured, simple to use, low cost, and easy to manage. Small business owners can enjoy business-quality voice using the same broadband data connection they use for Internet access, and can rely on one vendor for all their business communication needs.
“We are pleased that Rogers has chosen the Hosted Key System for its converged solution,” said Paul Butcher, president and chief operating officer, Mitel. “This system delivers the same functionality as a traditional telephone system, but with much simpler, web-based user management that will save small businesses time and money in managing their voice networks.”
